Jamshedpur: Mrs. KMPM Vocational College organized two student welfare programmes on its campus, focusing on health, wellness, and social awareness.
To mark International Yoga Day, the college conducted a yoga session with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The programme began with guided yoga and meditation exercises led by certified yoga trainer Shashwati Maiti. Participants practiced various yoga postures, pranayama, and breathing techniques aimed at improving physical and mental well-being.
The college also organized an awareness programme on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The event was held in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris Medical Wing. Students and faculty members took part in an interactive session and pledge ceremony highlighting the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and addiction-free life.
Addressing the participants, Principal Dr. Reeta Kumari emphasized the importance of yoga in today’s fast-paced world. She said yoga helps students develop focus, discipline, and peace of mind, contributing to their overall growth and well-being.
Speaking on the anti-drug campaign, she stated that drug abuse harms not only individuals but also families and society. She urged students to stay away from drugs, make healthy choices, and inspire others to lead purposeful and positive lives.
