Blood camp, essay contest and cultural programme mark day 1 of Spandan fest

Jamshedpur: Amid loud and excited chatter, Spandan Syandane festivity kicked off at Brahmolokdham, Air Base Colony in Kadma on Tuesday, October 24.

Organised by Brahmolokdham, the two day annual religious meet saw a number of events on the first day of the festivity.

The festivity began at in the morning with flag hoisting ceremony followed by Samuhik Jap at 7.30 in the morning. A blood donation camp was also organized during the day were a large number of people participated.

Devotees on the occasion were also provided Guru Prasad. The day had lot to offer as Kalash painting, Mehandi and drawing competition were also organized while students from city schools participated in the essay writing competition on ‘Aap Aur Apke Bhagwan’

The winners of various competitions will be felicitated on the last day of the celebration on Wednesday, Oct 25.

Later in the evening, Narnarayan Seva was held at the venue followed by cultural programme which was enjoyed by the participants and devotees.

The day ended with Prasad distributed among devotees at around 9 pm. At the event Monubindu Bhattacharya of Brahmolokdham among several others were present.

On day two of the celebrations on Wednesday, October 25, Shobha Yatra will be taken out while scholarships will be distributed among school students, cale cutting ceremony, Mangalarti and cultural program will end the celebrations.
