BJP troubled with Maiya Yojna’s success: JMM’s Vinod Pandey

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) central general secretary Vinod Pandey targeting the Bhraiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday after a meeting at Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Community Hall in Kadma said that the saffron fold is “troubled with the massive success of Maiya Yojan.”

Pandey was visiting Jamshedpur to meet all JMM party cadres to prepare a blueprint to counter BJP moves in the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state. Party workers and members from booth-level to district and central levels from Kolhan region participated in the meeting.

Speaking to the media Pandey remarked that the BJP is unsettled by the success of the ‘Maiya Yojana’. He said, “No scheme is formed overnight, and the Maiya Yojana was designed specifically for the benefit of women, representing half of the population.”

Pandey highlighted that JMM received 28 lakh votes in the last elections, while 48 lakh women are benefitting from the Maiya Yojana. He hinted that this number includes even families supporting the BJP.

The JMM central general secretary further asserted that the Jharkhand government does not implement schemes based on caste, religion, or community.

Responding to a question about demographic changes, Pandey refuted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claims. He said Jharkhand does not share a border with any foreign country, so illegal infiltration is not an issue. He called for the central government, the Border Security Force (BSF), and the Home Ministry to be held accountable for any infiltration.

Pandey also alleged that it is the BJP that has altered the political landscape. He claimed that BJP feature leaders from Congress, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha, and JMM, instead of BJP leaders. He added that people no longer want to campaign under BJP’s banner and posters in rural areas, where the party faces significant resentment.
