Jamshedpur, September 19: This year’s Sharadiya Navratri will commence on Thursday, October 3 which, according to Devi Puran, signifies that Ma Durga will arrive on a palanquin. The festival will end on October 11, with Vijaya Dashami being celebrated on October 12. The goddess will return to Her heavenly abode on foot.
The nine days of Navratri, dedicated to the worship of the nine forms of Devi Durga, hold special significance. Devotees observe fasts during this period, as it is believed that fasting brings prosperity and relief from financial hardships. Worship during Navratri, if done with full devotion and proper rituals, is said to yield complete blessings.
