BJP Jamshedpur celebrates Atal Ji’s 100th birth anniversary as Good Governance Day

Jamshedpur, Dec 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jamshedpur Mahanagar celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Good Governance Day. The event, held on Wednesday, was chaired by BJP District President Sudhanshu Ojha and attended by former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Saraikela MLA Champai Soren, who was the chief guest.

The program began with floral tributes and the lighting of lamps in honor of Atal Ji. In his address, Champai Soren lauded Vajpayee’s pivotal role in the creation of Jharkhand. “Atal Ji’s vision and commitment led to the creation of Jharkhand. In 1999, during a public meeting in Dumka, he promised the statehood of Jharkhand, and upon assuming office, he fulfilled that promise,” said Soren. He added that Vajpayee not only respected the agitators but also gave them a new identity. “Under Atal Ji’s leadership, the country reached new heights, and his policies continue to inspire us.”

BJP District President Sudhanshu Ojha highlighted Vajpayee’s legacy as a unifier, calling him ‘Ajatshatru.’ He said, “This year, BJP is celebrating his 100th birth anniversary as Shatabdi Year. Party workers at every level are pledging to spread his thoughts and the message of good governance.”

Widespread Tributes at Mandals and Booths

Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary was celebrated with reverence at all 28 mandals and booths under BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar. Workers, led by BJP Mandal Presidents, paid tribute to the former Prime Minister with floral offerings.

Prominent leaders including former District President Devendra Singh, Abhay Singh, Chandshekhar Mishra, and hundreds of BJP workers participated in the event, reaffirming their commitment to Atal Ji’s vision of good governance.
