Jamshedpur, Mar 29: The Bhaili Mahila Mandal celebrated the 13th Gangaur Sindhara Festival at Rajasthan Bhavan, Sonari, with great enthusiasm. Under the leadership of President Kavita Agarwal, women and daughters from the Marwari community actively participated in the event. The festival featured competitions such as Gangaur Antakshari, Rajasthani folk dance, traditional attire contest and Gangaur decoration contest. The winners were honored by esteemed guests. Renowned singer Mahavir Agarwal Munna mesmerized the audience with his melodious Rajasthani and Gangaur songs. The event was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by chief guest Suman Nagelia. Senior Marwari women, including Savitri Agarwal, Bimla Pancholi, Gayatri Agarwal and Pushpa Jain, were honored with shawls and certificates for their contribution to the community. Rupa Jain, who saved her husband’s life through liver donation, was recognized with the Life Saver Award. Social media influencer Priya Sharma was also acknowledged for promoting Marwari traditions through digital platforms. The event witnessed active participation from key members, including Manju Agarwal, Suman Agarwal, Neelam Nagelia, Kanchan Agarwal, Lata Agarwal, Lakshmi Agarwal, Uma Danga and several others. Bhaili Mahila Mandal aims to keep the Marwari culture alive through such vibrant celebrations each year.
