Jamshedpur, Feb. 21: Social Organisation ‘Bandhan’ on Tuesday celebrated Bhasha Shaheed Divas (Language Martyrs Day) at Tata Steel Community Centre in Kagalnagar, Sonari.
President of the Organisation KPL Majumdar welcomed all and gave introductory speech. At the event all the dignitaries paid floral tributes to the portrait of Shaheed Bedi and observed two-minute silence.
Chief Guest for the occasion Dr. Ranjeet Choudhary shed light on the sacrifice of the martyrs and appealed the new generation to come forward so that the children can adopt the mother language.
On the occasion city singer Subrata Biswas paid musical tribute to the martyrs by singing patriotic songs. Ashok Das gave a presentation through flute by Sanat Sarkar showed table skills. general Secretary of the Organisation Anjan Mitra extended the vote of thanks.
