Barnwal orders probe in Stadium construction case

Ranchi: Secretary to the CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal has ordered a detailed probe into the GL College Cricket Stadium construction case.

Directing to write to the Tourism Secretary in this connection, Barnwal said to take action against the guilty and asked to arrange the cricket stadium properly for use. He along with IPRD Director Rajiv Kumar Bakshi reviewed nine complaints in this regard.

In connection with showing Economics student Pawan Kumar Thakur (session 2007-10) as a History Honours student in the third part, the nodal officer said that it was a typing mistake. After seven years, the result was released after correction of mistake.

Regarding non-disbursement of salary to Manoj Kumar Jha, a tracer in Rural Work Department (work division, Chatra), the Secretary asked the authorities concerned to take action against him in 15 days why he had been absent for three months without information even after being released.

In connection with the non-payment of pension and benefits of sixth pay commission for last six years to the CMO of Hazaribag Mines Board Dr. Vishwanath Prasad, Barnwal took it a major dereliction in duty and asked the UDD Secretary to suspend the responsible executive engineer. The nodal officer has also been show caused.

Regarding irregularities in connection with toilet construction in Chainpur block of Gumla district, Barnwal directed the nodal officer to inspect the place himself and send proposal of action against related executive engineer.

The officer said that a junior engineer had been suspended and departmental proceeding was going on.
