Back on their feet: 180 challenged persons undergo artificial foot implant

Jamshedpur, Dec 26: Marwari Yuva branch Steel city Surabhi unit which conducted a three day free artificial foot implant camp at Agrasen Bhawan in Sakchi from Sunday, December 22 ensured that 180 physically challenged persons were back on their feet. Artificial feet and calipers were fitted by experts from the National Marwari Foundation. Beneficiaries from Jamtara, Ramgarh, Hazaribag, Chandil, Chakradharpur, Ghatshila and other places of the state were fitted with artificial feet and calipers.

President of Surabhi unit Parul Chetani stated that such a camp was organized for the first time by a women�s group in Jharkhand. All Surabhi members with able support of MYM team were lauded and blessed by the beneficiaries and their relatives.

The closing ceremony saw a glitterati of eminent persons that included chief guest DDC B Maheshwari, state president of Jharkhand Marwari Sammelan Nirmal Kabra, Jharkhand state Marwari Yuva Manch president Abhishek Agrawal, state vice president Jharkhand state Marwari Sammelan Omprakash Agrawal, state general secretaries Suresh Sonthalia and Krishna Agrawal, Nand Kishore Agrawal and health affairs convener Ajay Chetani. All the guests present were full of praise for the Surabhi team for conducting the three day foot implant camp successfully.

Parul Chetani, president of Surabhi branch said, �This Surabhi branch is the first of its kind in Jharkhand that has organized a foot implant camp. The organizing team included convener Ruchi Bansal, Babita Ringasia, Nilam Debuka, branch secretary Nisha Singhal, treasurer Manisha Sanghi and all the other Surabhi branch members.
