Jamshedpur, Dec 26: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar Thursday rubbished rumours regarding the party office in Sakchi being evacuated by its owner, Joginder Singh Jogi.

Speaking at the BJP office, Kumar said no request for evacuating the office had been received from Jogi. He said he had spoken to Jogi and was told it was just a rumour. He said a section of people expelled from the party were behind the rumours.

Meanwhile, when Kumar reached the BJP office, a group of former party leaders ousted recently were also seen basking outside in the sun.

Kumar said the district BJP had given due respect and importance to veteran leaders. He said he had consulted senior leaders ever since he became district president  in 2016.

Commenting on the incident of pasting of papers on posters of former CM Raghubar Das, Kumar said, It is a matter of Sanskar (upbringing). The rebels should not forget what the party has given them. The leader of rebels, who is a prominent leader, had also faced defeat in election once. But the party gave him due respect everywhere from posters to events. But his supporters are now being provoked to spread rumours and lies. This is the difference between the supporters of Raghubar Das and the rebel leader.

The BJP president said Raghubar Das had accepted moral responsibility for the partys electoral defeat in Jharkhand. He said the party would soon make a strong comeback. He said the party would soon initiate disciplinary action against party workers involved in anti-organization activities. He maintained that he had sent his resignation to state BJP on 23rd December but was informed by state general secretary Deepak Prakash that his resignation had not been accepted.
