Chandil: Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and the State President of BJP, Babulal Marandi, criticized the Hemant Soren government, stating that it has failed to fulfill any of its promises made during the elections. Speaking at a meeting organized as part of the Sankalp Yatra at Tikar High School ground in Ichagarh block, Marandi accused the government of misleading the public and failing to address pressing issues.
Marandi highlighted the lack of employment opportunities, noting that even the promise of unemployment allowances remains unfulfilled. He stated that the government has made grand announcements but failed to deliver on its pledges, both in the election manifesto and in the Assembly. Marandi accused the Hemant Soren government of deceiving the public and making their lives more difficult.
He called for the people to unite and take action to remove the current government from power, emphasizing the need for responsible governance. Marandi expressed his belief that a well-governed BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be established in both the state and the country.
Marandi also credited the BJP-led NDA government under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the creation of Jharkhand, describing it as a gift. He pointed out the extensive network of roads, bridges, and culverts that have been built across the state, emphasizing that this development would not have been possible without the BJP government.
The former Chief Minister praised the Modi government at the Centre for its commitment to improving the lives of the poor and marginalized. He mentioned the Jan Dhan accounts, providing food grains to the needy, the Ayushman Bharat card for healthcare, the Ujjwala scheme for distributing gas cylinders to women, and the effort to increase women’s participation in politics through a 33 percent reservation.
