Jamshedpur, March 22: A public awareness campaign on water conservation was launched by Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) on the occasion of World Water Day here on Tuesday. The MMC officials visited the banks of Swarnarekha at various places and interacted with the people. They involved the people in the campaign and appealed to them to conserve water and use it wisely.
The awareness programme was organized following the guidance of MMC Executive Officer Deepak Sahay. Sahay said the seriousness of water scarcity could be gauged from the soaring demand for supply of water through tankers by the citizens.
