Jamshedpur: Indranil Sen ( 45), an associate business partner of Max Life Insurance ( office at Bistupur besides the HDFC Bank and Ram Mandir) was killed in a road mishap at Bhawani Chowk in Contai district of East Midnapore district of Bengal on Sunday.
He along with his wife Paromita Sen ( 35), mother Manju Sen ( 60) and two daughters – Aloyana ( 10) and Adrita ( 6)- were returning from Mandarmani ( near Digha) on a booked Maruti Omni van when tyre of a truck coming from the opposite direction deflated having a head on collision with the Maruti van.
All the injured were soon taken to a local hospital Derua where Indranil died after two hours ( at around 5 pm). He had sustained serious injuries on his neck region and the death was caused due to excessive bleeding.
Later, his wife and the elder daughter were referred to Peerless Hospital in Kolkata while the injured mother and the younger daughter who sustained injuries on her right leg was admitted at the Tata Motors Hospital on Monday.
Body of Indranil arrived in the city after post-mortem ( at the hospital in Derua) early in the morning today. The body was kept at the morgue of Tata Motors Hospital. Funeral will take place tomorrow.
Indranil Sen was a resident of Narmada Apartments, Aloke Vihar, Ghorabandha, Telco. Paromita Sen is a housewife while the two daughters study in Little Flower School.
The family had gone to Mandarmani for spending summer vacation on Friday ( May 12).
They were returning to Kharagpur via Contai from where they were supposed to board Tatanagar bound Steel Superfast Express. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
