Jamshedpur: Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) celebrated the Annual Prize Night 2018 on the 30th June in the school auditorium.
The Chief Guest for the evening was Prof. Dr S.S. Razi (Vice � Chancellor, Arka Jain University) and the Guest of Honour was Prof. Emeritus Dr (Mrs.) Shaheen Razi.
The awarding ceremony was held to felicitate the extraordinary performance of students, both scholastic and co � scholastic, during the academic session 2017 � 2018.
Over the years, MNPS has been recognising the flawless efforts of teachers and students, who, with their dedication and hard work make a difference; these students and teachers go beyond the ordinary and set a remarkable example. Hence felicitating them is a gesture to show that their contribution is recognised.
The students feel motivated to receive awards from the respectable dignitaries. Prof. Dr. Razi was glad to be a part of the program. He addressed the gathering with his thought provoking words, he recognised the efforts of a teacher in the holistic development of a student, he also advised the students to make the optimum utilisation of their school life.
In continuance with its flagship project Of (Sustainable Development Goals) � the 17 SDGs, a theme based cultural programme �NIRANTARTA�(continuity), a dance drama,was also put up by the students. It was the presentation of the different phases of the life of Lord Krishna, and its relevance with the 17 goals. The program was concluded with a wonderful Qawali performed by the students under the guidance of Tr. AlkaBagchi and Subroto Biswas.
The evening was star studded with many sets of Special Awards, Academic Awards and also the felicitation of the ICSE and ISC toppers along with a special segment for the qualifiers of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The School Annual Report was presented by the Principal. The comparers for the event were Ankita Singh (XII), Ashish (XII), Ankit Singh (X), Shaily Jain (X), Ruhaaba Warsi (VI) and Md. Anas (VI).
Ashish (XII) was felicitated with the Student Icon Award and Md. Asad Reyaaz received the Principal�s award. The school also gave a scholarship of Rs 30,000 each to 5 ICSE toppers.
The ceremony was graced by Chairman Mr. Akhilesh Dubey, Hon. General Secretary Dr Mr. D.P. Shukla, Principal Mrs. Ashu Tiwary, Vice � Principal Mrs. Ritu Choudhary and other U.P Sangh Dignitaries.
