Jamshedpur, Feb 4: Jugsalai Nagar Parishad launched a campaign against single use plastic under the Plastic Mukt Bharat Abhiyan here on Saturday. The campaign was started following the directive of Dhalbhum SDO Piyush Sinha. A special inspection drive was carried out from Jugsalai Nagar Parishad office to various localities of Jugsalai including Bata Chowk, Chowk Bazar, Gwal Para, Naya Bazar, DB Road and Gaushala Chowk. A sum of Rs 2000 was collected from several traders for allegedly using single use plastic and encroaching roads. The officials appealed to all citizens to avoid plastic and instead use eco-friendly materials.
