Jamshedpur, Sep 15: Aseem Vikrant Minj after taking charge as Kolhan DIG for the first time visited East Singhbhum District Police Headquarters in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.
He presided over a meeting with the police officials. City SP Subhash Chandra Jat along with all Deputy Superintendents of Police were present in the meeting.
DIG inquired about the pending cases in the district and directed the officials to execute the pending cases at the earliest. Regarding the increased Maoists activities in the district, DIG said that police is doing its best and running campaign to reduce extremists’ activity.
Talking about the land mines planted by Maoists, DIG informed that the explosive recovered by the police is a big achievement. Regarding drugs, he said that former DIG Rajiv Ranjan had started the campaign which will continue.
