Anil Modi elected president of Jamshedpur cloth wholesalers’ union

Jamshedpur, Nov 6: Anil Modi was elected as the president of Jamshedpur Thok Vastra Vikreta Sangh, a body of cloth wholesalers of Kolhan, on Sunday. The announcement was made during the general meeting of the outfit organized at Sri Tatanagar Gaushala in Jugsalai. The annual accounts of the organization for last year was presented and topics related to the strengthening of the organization were discussed in detail.

Modi, after his election, thanked all members and assured to work for their welfare. He said he would try to live up to their expectations and work with team spirit.

Speaking on the occasion, Swarup Golchha said the last two years were affected by the Corona pandemic. He said several activities were taken up to give a fillip to the wholesale business of clothes in Kolhan. Trade Fair Vastram was one such effort, he said while congratulating the new president and his team.

The outfit secretary Sanjay Saraiwala threw lights on the various activities carried out by the organization. The accounts report was presented by treasurer Naveen Kishore Baranwal.

Baranwal and Kamal Jain said the election process was started last month. Pradip Bidasaria and Ritesh Mittal were elected vice president. Ashok Saraswat was elected secretary while Naveen Baranwal was elected treasurer. Other elected functionaries include Kamal Kishore Lodha, Mahesh Saraiwala, Vishal Baranwal, Naresh Padiya and Sanjay Agrawal.
