Jamshedpur : Reiterating its commitment towards School of Hope, Amway Opportunity Foundation, the CSR arm of Amway India, the largest Direct Selling FMCG Company of India presents educational aid to School of Hope today.
At a formal function today at School of Hope, Mr. Karthik. S. IPS ,Superintendent of Police, Jamshedpur presented educational aid including annual educational sponsorship for children of School Of Hope living below poverty line in presence of Alok Deep, Area Manager, Bihar & Jharkhand.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Kathik S. appreciated the initiative of Amway Opportunity Foundation and also the School of Hope Management for taking take of the special children and doing lot many things to bring smile on their faces.
Alok Deep, Area Manager, Bihar & Jharkhand Amway India and the member of Amway Opportunity Foundation said, Amway Opportunity Foundation provides annual educational aid to the students of School Of Hope every year enabling them to pursue their studies.
Amway Opportunity Foundation has been working towards the empowerment of differently abled children for over a decade. On the occasion, Amway Opportunity Foundation also organized a day long Health checkup camp where Medical practitioners from MGMCH who are also associated with Amway as Business owners, voluntarily conducted this free health checkup camp for the children.
Shyamal Raju, Principal School of Hope welcomed the guest while Rajnish Kumar, Senior Manager, Societies, & Member of the Managing Committee of School of Hope extended the vote of Thanks Jayshree Madhususdanan of School of Hope, parents and officer and staff of Amway India Foundation were also present on the occasion.
School of Hope runs an institution for mentally challenged children since 1976 under the aegis of a welfare society. The school provides education to 155 mentally challenged children out of which 20% are from below poverty line category.
The school of Hope is a day care school that provides behavioural training, speech training and equips the children with the techniques to deal with the society in an effective way.
Students from School of Hope have already participated in special Olympic Games for mentally challenged children in USA, Korea and won trophies in cycling, floor hockey, football and badminton.
