Free camp surgery at Jamshedpur Eye Hospital

Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur Eye Hospital today conducted free surgery to 15 selected patients who were screened three days back at the Pipla Village where more than 100 villagers were screened.

Dr. D. K. Singhal operated eight patients while Dr. Rajnish Bahadur Singh and Dr. B.Chakravertty operated four and three patients respectively at Jamshedpur Eye Hospital.

Established in 1961, Jamshedpur Eye Hospital has been providing services of eye care consultations, surgeries, education and awareness to the general population of Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas with special emphasis on serving the under privileged sections of society.

Jamshedpur Eye Hospital with well qualified ophthalmologists assisted by trained nurses, paramedical staff and support staff performs state of the art cataract surgeries (SICS and Phacoemulsification) and performs IOL (Intraocular Lens) implants.

It can now also perform Laser Treatment and Visual Field Analysis. The hospital has begun to concentrate on treatment for Glaucoma and Retinal complications for which patients currently have to seek treatment outside Jamshedpur.
