Jamshedpur, July 17: District agriculture department is planning to set up Chamber of Farmers in Jamshedpur. District agriculture officer Mithilesh Kumar Kalindi convened a meeting at district agriculture office auditorium in Khasmahal in this regard. Five farmers from each block of East Singhbhum participated in the meeting. There were altogether 55 farmers.
Addressing the farmers, Kalindi said an organization of farmers should be formed with the view to instill a feeling of mutual cooperation among farmers and provide them best facilities to ensure maxium profit in the sale of various agriculture produce. The proposed Chamber of Farmers would be registered soon. It would be a cooperative organization with a managing committee. The outfit would provide fertilizer, seeds and agricultural equipments to farmers, he said.
