Jamshedpur, July 28: The 115th Birth Anniversary of Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhai (JRD) Tata falls on July 29, 2019. Always more than an industrialist, JRD Tata made a unique contribution to the development of the sciences and art. He played a pivotal role in the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, the Tata Memorial Cancer Research Centre and Hospital, the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, the National Centre for Performing Arts and the National Institute of Advanced Studies. Besides his social concerns that distinguished him, he was also the undisputed pioneer of civil aviation in India, and helped to usher in an era of air transport in India. Various activities have been lined up at Tata Steel to commemorate his 115th Birth Anniversary.
Sonari Airport
As a mark of tribute to Bharat Ratna JRD Tata and his passion for flying, a special
program will be held on July 29th at Sonari Airport by Tata Steel�s Aviation
department. This will display an Aero-modeling show and static display of
aircraft from 10 am onwards. Homage will be paid to JRD Tata at Sonari Airport.

Sports Department
The Inter School Archery Tournament will be inaugurated at the Archery ground,
JRD Tata Sports Complex on 29th July at 8 am. Dr. Rajan Chaudhry,
GM Medical Services will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Finals of JSA Girls Football League will be held
from 4.30 pm at JRD Stadium. Oinam Bembem Devi, Arjuna Awardee, will
grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Tree Plantation Drive
Tress plantation drive will be held at Dhatkidih – JH Tarapore School at 7.30 am. Plantation drive at Jubilee Park � Near Rose Garden at 9.00 am. Drive at CRM Bara Complex at 10:00 am.
