Gua, May 25: The Gua unit of SAIL felicitated film star and Padma Shri Awardee Manoj Bajpayee, film director Debasish Makhia and producer Anupama Bose at a programme organized at the Gua Club. The felicitation ceremony was led by SAIL’s Gua unit, CGM Bipin Kumar Giri and President of Mahila Samiti Smita Giri. They honoured Padma Shri Manoj Bajpayee, film director Debasish Makhia and producer of the film, Zoram, Anupama Bose by presenting them shawls. The program was inaugurated jointly by Manoj Bajpayee and CGM Bipin Kumar Giri.
Addressing the audience, Manoj Bajpayee observed, “People’s love is my strength. My motto in life is to remain affectionate forever. Our entire unit is overjoyed with the love and cooperation that has been extended to us. The SAIL management, CISF, Jharkhand police and the people of Gua, throughout our five days of shooting have given us love and understanding that has been very rewarding and we will cherish the memory of shooting ‘Zoram’ in Gua forever. Our hartfelt gratitude goes out to CGM Mr Bipin Kumar Giri and the entire SAIL family of Gua.”
Several members in the audience asked several questions and Manoj Bajpayee replied with élan and a touch of humor. It was on popular request that star actor Manoj Bajpayee regaled the audience with monologues from his films, Satya and Gangs of Wasseypur that left the elite audience asking for more. Director of the film Zoram, Debasish Makhija and producer Anupama Bose also spoke of the love and cooperation the entire unit had received through the five days of shoot.
The film was shot in various mines of Gua’s SAIL unit, Ajitaburu and other locations. The unit also shot scenes early in the morning of Wednesday before leaving for Chaibasa.

Other diginitaries present on the occasion included Srimant Narayan Panda, Deepak Prakash, Smriti Ranjan Swain, CB Kumar, Suman Kumar, Dr TC Anand, Dr SK Sarkar, Dr Aditya Parik, CISF Commandant Rebhi Sharma, Deputy Commandant Rakesh Chandan, Assistant Commandant Sunny William, Inspector Stephen, Inspector Jatin Behera, Assistant Inspector Saurabh Kumar, Head Constable Baby Thomas along with a large number of people including Gua police station in-charge Anil Kumar Yadav were present.
