62 Jamshedpur teachers attend workshop on Gender Sensitization

Jamshedpur, March 8: Gender sensitizing is about changing behavior and instilling empathy into the views that we hold about our own and the other genders.

This was the essence of �Capacity building programme on Gender Sensitization � organised at Jusco School South Park on Wednesday, March 8. The training was conducted by CBSE Centre of Excellence , Kolkata .

The resource persons for the workshop were Mrs Samita Sinha, Principal, Surendranath Centenary School , Ranchi and Mrs. Kiran Dwiwedi, Former Principal, St Michael�s School, Ranchi.

The workshop was attended by 62 teachers from various CBSE schools of Jamshedpur including Jusco School South Park, Kasidih High School, Jusco School, Kadma, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, South Park, Dayawati Modi Public School, Chandil, SDSM School of Excellence, AIWC Academy of Excellence, DBMS Kadma and KPS NML.

The workshop was also graced by the presence of Mr. A.F. Madon , Administrator , JEM Foundation .

The School Principal ,Mrs. Shovna De, Vice Principal Ms. Mili Sinha, Coordinator Ms. K.Jaishree along with the teachers

Mrs. Shovna De thanked the resource persons and CBSE Centre of Excellence, Kolkata for the workshop. She said that awareness Gender Sensitization is the basic requirement for the teachers to avoid gender stereotyping and cater to individual differences amongst the students in a class.
