Heavy rain forecast in Jharkhand on June 12–13

Jamshedpur , June 11 : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rain activity across Jharkhand on June 12 and 13, with heavy rainfall likely at isolated places and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong gusty winds expected in several districts.
The weather system is expected to bring significant relief from the prevailing heat but may also lead to localized disruptions.
According to the forecast for June 12, heavy rain is likely at isolated locations in Dumka, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Giridih, Bokaro, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan districts. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50–60 Kmph are expected at isolated places over southern, north-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state, including Dhanbad, Bokaro, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Khunti and Ramgarh.
The rest of the state may experience thunderstorms and winds of 40–50 Kmph.
The wet spell is expected to continue on June 13, with heavy rainfall forecast at isolated places over Dumka, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Sahibganj, Pakur and Godda districts.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 50–60 Kmph are likely over north-eastern and adjoining central districts, while other parts of Jharkhand may witness winds of 40–50 kmph along with thunderstorm activity.
The Meteorological Department has advised residents to remain alert during periods of lightning and strong winds, avoid taking shelter under trees, and stay indoors whenever possible during thunderstorms.
Weathermen are also monitoring the situation closely, particularly in districts vulnerable to heavy rainfall, as the weather conditions may lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas and temporary disruptions to normal life. ( W
