Jamshedpur, July 17: In the case of firing in Chhayanagar under Sitaramdera police station area, the police took immediate action and solved the case within 12 hours.
Three criminals involved in this incident has been arrested, from whom two country-made pistols, one live cartridge, two empty shells and a stolen motorcycle have been recovered.
The incident took place on July 16 at around 1 pm when it was reported that criminal Sameer Jaina, who was recently released from jail, shot at Taklu Lohar’s wife Ritu Lohar, resident of Chhayanagar. It was told that Sameer Jaina had threatened to kill Taklu Lohar’s son Prince Lohar, against which Ritu Lohar had reached Sameer Jaina’s house. There was abuse between the two, and during the clash, Sameer opened fire.
In view of the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed on the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police, East Singhbhum, which was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Nagar-I Bhola Prasad Singh.
This team conducted a quick raid and detained the main accused Sameer Jaina. During interrogation, Sameer admitted to threatening Prince Lohar and firing at his mother.
This was also revealed in the investigation that at the time of the incident, Sameer’s friend Abhishek Kumar Singh was also present on the spot with a country-made pistol. After the firing, both of them fled to Gayatrinagar in Telco on a stolen motorcycle and hid the weapons and cartridges with their third partner Vijay Tiwari alias Golu. The cartridge was with Abhishek.
Those arrested include Sameer Jaina, resident of house number 1383, Home Pipe Chhayanagar, Near Civil Court, Police Station Sitaramdera, Jamshedpur, Vijay Tiwari resident of Gayatrinagar, Gwala Basti, Police Station Telco, Jamshedpur and Abhishek Kumar Singh, resident of Home Pipe Chhayanagar, Police Station Sitaramdera, Jamshedpur.
