2nd CII Jharkhand MSME Conclave focus on greater collaboration between all stakeholders

Jamshedpur, Nov. 21: CII Jharkhand organised the second edition of MSME Conclave on Thursday. The objective of the 2nd CII Jharkhand MSME Conclave was to deliberate on the issues and challenges faced by the MSMEs and help the MSMEs demonstrate greater competitiveness and position themselves strategically along the value chain.

The conclave covered important topics of discussion including start-up, innovation, challenges and opportunities; empowering msmes through addressing their financing needs and government schemes for MSMEs. It acted as a forum wherein the participants got the opportunity to interact with the Bureaucrats and industry Leaders, thought leaders to learn the best practices and were updated of the latest government plans.

Addressing the gathering, P K Gupta, director, MSME Development Institute, Ranchi said that MSMEs are the backbone of the economy and the government commits all support for the growth and development of the sector.

S K Behera, past chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Vice Chairman, RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd stated that infrastructure development, access to finance, technology adoption and strong leadership are keys to success for the MSME sector.

AtulDua, managing director, Multitech Auto opined that the Government needs to stick to their commitments for the growth and development of MSMEs.

Sanjay Sabherwal, vice chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Managing Director, Metaldyne Industries Ltd avowed that MSMEs in Jharkhand has all the potential to flourish provided efforts are taken by the government to proactively create and sustain an enabling environment both in terms of financial and fiscal support.

Rana Das, chief-procurement, Tata Steel Ltd stated that with the increase in MSME contribution to GDP, there is a potential to increase its contribution to employment to over 50 per cent over the next decade. It is also vital for the informal MSMEs who are currently not registered to be made part of the formal MSME eco system.

According to Tapas Kumar Sahu, convenor, CII Jharkhand MSME & Startup Panel & ED & CEO, Highco Engineers Ltd, a collective effort between government, private sector, industry groups, training organisations and MSMEs themselves is the most effective way to tackle barriers that Indian MSMEs face.

Krishna Kumar Kharia, co-convenor, CII Jharkhand MSME & Startup Panel & Director, Multitech Components Ltd said that CII Jharkhand MSME Conclave aims to facilitate MSMEs move up the ladder in the industrial space. It is a step towards building a better tomorrow.

Over 100 delegates participated in this important forum.
