Jamshedpur, May 5 : A 22-year-old girl was shot at and seriously injured by a criminal at Islam Nagar under Kapali thana out-post under Chandil police station area near Mango last night. The criminal who was reportedly a thief opened fire at the girl identified as Gosia Naz after she raised noise.
Naz, who has sustained injury in her abdomen was carried to MGM Medical College Hospital, but as her condition was serious the doctors referred her to the Tata Main Hospital.
At the time of incident, the victim’s sister-in-law Sajda Perveen was at home beside her. As she saw the criminal in the house, she shouted leading the criminal to take out a pistol and fired a shot.
OC, Kapali TOP, Satyadev Singh confirmed about the incident. He said that a thief had tried to enter into Anneul Haque’s house and Haque’s daughter Naz had shouted at the sight of the criminal who was around 25-year-old. Then only the criminal took out a pistol and fired a shot at the girl, causing her to sustain injury in the abdomen.
