2 arrested in Jamshedpur girl’s suicide case

Jamshedpur, April 20: Police have arrested lover Vikas Dutta and his father Ravi Dutta and sent them to jail in the case of Kiran Kumari, a resident of Bagunhatu of Sidgora police station area of Jamshedpur, who jumped into the pond and committed suicide.

A case was filed against both the men for abetment to suicide. This case was filed on behalf of the deceased’s wife Urmila Pandey.

He has told in the case that his daughter Kiran Kumari had a love affair with Vikas Dutta, a neighbor. either of them

There was some estrangement, due to which his daughter Kiran Kumari jumped into the Subarnarekha river. His daughter could not be found on 18 April due to the evening and the depth of the water. On the morning of April 19, with the help of divers, the body of Urmila Pandey’s daughter Kiran Kumari (21 years) was recovered from the river.

In her case, the mother of the deceased has told that the deceased was assaulted and abused by Vikas Dutta, Vikas Dutta’s father Ravi Dutta, his mother and sister, due to which she committed suicide. In its investigation, the allegation was found to be true, after which the father and son were arrested and sent to jail. Two accused in this case, the lover’s mother and sister are absconding.
