Gamharia, April 20: A peace committee meeting was convened in the Kandra police station on Thursday. Chairing the meeting, Kandra PS OC Rajendra Prasad Mahto extended his best wishes for Eid celebrations with an appeal to observe the festivities in a peaceful and cordial manner. He urged people to immediately report to the police about any untoward incident including criminal activities or those instigated by antisocial elements. The Kandra PS OC asked people to avoid receiving or passing on rumours. ”Please do not forward controversial posts from the internet or other social media platforms.” The meeting was attended by Zila Parishad member Pinky Mandal, Panchayat head Shankari Singh, Ward members Ajit Sen, Jaipal Yadav, Subodh Singh, Bharat Singh, Bhado Majhi, Mohammad Hasan, Sub Inspector Rahul Kumar Singh, ASI Kishore Munda, Guruva Munda and constable Manoj along with a large number of other citizens.
