Jamshedpur, June 11: The seven-day summer camp organized by Hidaya Welfare Society for Madrasa children concluded at Mango Gandhi Maidan on Sunday. Students learnt various activities during the week long camp.
Former international handball player Firoz Khan was present as the chief guest during the closing ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Khan informed about fitness and sports which should be a part of our daily routine.
Special guest JSA Assistant Secretary Rohit Singh also told the children about importance of sports.
Madina Masjid’s Mufti Abdul Malik Misbahi, Imam of Bari Masjid Hafiz Jabbar, Imam of Sabri Masjid Maulana Sageer Alam Faizi and Maulana Aftab gave away certificates to the children.
A total of 150 children from 12 Madrasas were handed over certificates during the closing ceremony of summer camp.
The program was successfully organized under the supervision of social worker and organising committee chairman Dr Afroz Shakeel.
“The main objective of the camp was to make children physically and mentally strong. Kids studying in Madrasas have immense talent the need is to provide them a platform,” added the organiser.
Sporting events including cricket, football, handball, athletics and volleyball were organized during the camp.
Md Tahir Hussain, Shahid Akhtar, Afroz Aslam Guddu, Aamir, Maulana Kamal, Md Rashid and others were present on the occasion.
