Jamshedpur: In a bid to raise awareness and provide access to various state government welfare schemes, former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar launched the Jan Kalyan Rath initiative on July 9. The program, which began with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at Baridiha Chowk, has since reached thousands of people across Jamshedpur, delivering crucial information and facilitating the online application process for numerous government schemes.
In the 60 days since its launch, the Jan Kalyan Rath has benefited 10,599 people. Among the key highlights:3050 people have successfully applied for various pensions, including old age and widow pensions. 2552 families have received ration cards. 459 individuals were issued voter cards. 105 beneficiaries have been linked with the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.1583 people have been provided with Ayushman cards for healthcare coverage. Additionally, 2850 people benefited from the Maiya Samman Yojana.
The Jan Kalyan Rath travels across Jamshedpur daily, stopping in different areas to inform residents about the welfare schemes and assist them with the required documentation and online applications. The initiative covers a wide range of services, including pensions, ration cards, Ayushman cards, Aadhar cards, and other welfare programs.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Kumar said, “Our goal is to reach every doorstep, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes are accessible to all. We are dedicated to making Jamshedpur a safer and better place. This effort to serve the people will continue, as we strive to create a better Jharkhand.”
