Jamshedpur, April 22: A team of excise department conducted a surprise raid in Ranikudar village of Potka and destroyed 10 illegal distilleries running on the riverbank. Several drums containing Java Mahua were also destroyed during the operation. The officials confiscated 210 litre illicit liquor and 16,000 kg of Java Mahua from the distilleries. They said the owners of the distilleries managed to flee the scene.
