Jamshedpur, Mar 9: The police in the Bistupur police station area of Jamshedpur have recovered the body of a 60-year-old woman from Dhatkidih pond. The deceased has been identified as Naushaba Parveen, a resident of Kapali. Family members reported that the woman had left home on Friday, claiming she was going to a relative’s house but did not return. Concerned about her absence, family members initiated their own investigation.
The mental health of the deceased woman was reported to be unstable. Sub-Inspector Santosh Kumar Gupta stated that on Saturday morning, people reported the discovery of the woman’s floating body. Upon reaching the location, authorities, with the assistance of local fishermen, retrieved the body from the water. The woman had been missing since the previous day, and it is suspected that she may have committed suicide. Further details will be revealed after the post-mortem report is available. The discovery of the body drew a crowd of onlookers to the pond area.
