Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident late on Sunday night, a youth named Mohammad Irshar was shot by unidentified miscreants on Purani Basti Road in the Jugsalai police station area. The injured youth was immediately rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where his condition remains critical.
Eyewitnesses reported that Irshar was standing outside his house when two youths arrived and called him. As soon as he approached them, they opened fire and fled the scene, leaving him severely injured. The incident has left the local community in shock and fear.
According to sources, Irshar was allegedly involved in the brown sugar trade, and the attack is suspected to be linked to a dispute over the illegal business. The name of Bhakur, known to have a criminal background, has surfaced as a prime suspect in the shooting. Police believe that a feud between Irshar and Bhakur led to the violent attack.
Jugsalai Police reached the crime scene promptly and launched an investigation. A shell was recovered from the spot, and raids are being conducted to apprehend the accused. The police are also exploring all possible angles, including personal enmity and rivalry related to the brown sugar trade.
The incident has triggered panic in the area, with locals demanding stricter policing to curb criminal activities. The police assured that the culprits would be arrested soon, and justice would be delivered.
