Jamshedpur, Sept 1: The Eastern Regional Round of Young Indians Parliament (YIP) 2025, hosted by Young Indians (Yi) Jamshedpur, concluded at the Auto Cluster Auditorium, Adityapur. The two-day event brought together over 100 students from Siliguri, Balasore, Raipur, Durg, Bhubaneswar, and Jamshedpur, who engaged in dynamic parliamentary-style debates and showcased their leadership potential.
Participants deliberated on issues of both national and regional importance and presented 10 significant bills. Following extensive discussions, two bills were successfully passed. Inaugurating the event, Chief Guest Vishal Agarwal, Immediate Past National Chair of Yi and Founder Chair of Yi Jamshedpur, remarked, “The true success of YIP will be when a youth empowered by this platform becomes part of a ministry a decade from now. That is the ultimate objective of this initiative.”
The inaugural session also witnessed the presence of Yi Jamshedpur Chair Kaushik Modi, Co-Chair Shruti Jhunjhunwala, and CII Jamshedpur Secretariat Kunal Yadav.
The second day featured further rounds of debate, followed by the closing ceremony. Jamshedpur Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Kumar Pandey graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Tata Steel Tinplate Division’s Managing Director, Ujjwal Chakraborty, attended as Special Guest. Piyush Kumar Pandey lauded the participants’ confidence, awareness, and vision for the nation, emphasizing the crucial role of youth in strengthening democracy. Ujjwal Chakraborty encouraged students to carry the spirit of leadership into their personal and professional journeys.
Aligned with Yi’s national theme, India Rising, the Eastern Regional Round highlighted that India’s youth were ready to lead the nation’s future with dialogue, responsibility, and foresight. YIP exemplified the power of participatory democracy and its role in shaping tomorrow’s leaders.
