Youth Festival 2024 at Karim City College Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The District-Level Youth Festival 2024 was organized at Karim City College, Sakchi, Jamshedpur, under the joint aegis of the District Administration, Sports Department (East Singhbhum), Mera Bharat Nehru (Youth Centre East Singhbhum), and the National Service Scheme (NSS) East Singhbhum. The inaugural ceremony took place at the college auditorium at 11:00 AM.

The event was graced by the chief guest,  Shatabdi Majumdar (SDO Dhalbhum), along with  Amit Kumar (District Sports Officer). The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. A mesmerizing music and dance performance by college student Muskan set the tone for the event. Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, Principal of Karim City College, delivered a warm welcome speech to honor the guests.

In her address, the chief guest emphasized the importance of perseverance, stating, “Life brings more failures than successes, but amidst those failures lie the paths to achievement. The key is to focus on efforts rather than outcomes.”

The festival featured 11 diverse competitions, including poetry, music, science exhibitions, painting, photography, speeches, folk dance, and story writing. Participants from various schools, colleges, and even remote areas showcased their talents. Experienced and invited judges evaluated the performances, and the winners were awarded cash prizes and recognition. Selected participants will now advance to the state-level competition.

The event continued throughout the day, with notable contributions from Dr. Kamal Kumar Mahato (NSS Nodal Officer, Patamda Degree College),  Anjali Kumari (District Youth Officer),  Avinash Tripathi (District Youth Officer), Dr. Ale Ali (NSS Officer, Karim City College), and NSS Coordinator Syed Sajid Parvez. The program was skillfully hosted by Manav Ghosh.
