Jamshedpur: Jharkhand State Youth Congress secretary Rakesh Sahu condemned the attack on Congress supporter Baldev Singh by armed assailants near Tagore Academy at Sakchi on Friday.
In a press statement issued shortly after the incident, Sahu demanded arresting of the assailants within 48 hours. He said the Youth Congress members would stage demonstration before the SSP office in case the accused persons are not arrested within the deadline.
Sahu said the incident had exposed the poor law and order situation in the city. He said the situation could have turned worse had it taken place a little later during the dispersal of children at the school. He said Baldev Singh had identified the assailants and given a police statement. The police should take prompt action to nab the culprits, he said.
