Jamshedpur, April 28: The Youth Congress is mobilizing efforts to promote the Congress’s Justice Guarantee and supporting JMM candidate Samir Mohanty for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat. A meeting convened on Sunday at the Congress office in Bistupur, under the chairmanship of Neeraj Singh, President of the East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee, outlined the strategy.
Key figures including Ishita Said, Secretary of the Indian National Youth Congress, Satyam Singh, Vice President of the Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee, and Saurabh Agarwal, in-charge of the East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee, were present at the meeting.
Directives were issued to promote the Youth Justice Guarantee, focusing on various sectors such as employment, women’s welfare, farmer support, labor rights, and social equity. The District President emphasized the importance of prioritizing youth concerns within the Justice framework.
The comprehensive plan included ensuring employment opportunities for educated youth with a minimum salary of Rs 1 lakh; providing financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh annually to women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds; implementing loan waivers for farmers and ensuring Minimum Support Price (MSP) with the Swaminathan formula; guaranteeing a minimum wage of Rs 400 per day for laborers, even under MNREGA; advocating for social and economic equality, including conducting door-to-door surveys to ensure accurate representation of all communities.
Representatives from all levels of the Youth Congress, including Assembly Speakers, Block Presidents, and officials from the East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee, attended the meeting to demonstrate their support for Sameer Mahanty and the Justice Guarantee campaign.
