Jamshedpur Congress District Vice President resigns, to contest Lok Sabha elections independently

Jamshedpur, April 28: Jitendra Singh, the Congress District Vice President, has tendered his resignation from all party positions. At a press conference in Sakchi on Sunday, Singh announced his decision to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate.

Singh cited the party’s failure to announce a candidate for the elections as the reason for his resignation, stating that the delay led to suspicions of match-fixing among the public, leaving them feeling betrayed. Expressing his desire to serve the people, Singh emphasized his commitment to addressing civic issues in non-company areas, including the construction of an airport and tackling traffic congestion.

Having been associated with the Congress for 35 years, Singh asserted that his decision to contest independently came after years of being overlooked as a potential candidate for elections. He openly criticized MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, alleging a lack of action during his tenure.

The press conference was attended by INTUC Vice President Laddan Khan, Sunil Rajak, Abul Kalam, and others.
