Jamshedpur: The halls of Carmel Junior College came alive with rhythm and expression as the Primary Section hosted its Annual English Choral Recitation Competition on Wednesday. The event showcased the remarkable talent of students from Classes I to IV, leaving the audience enthralled.

A total of eight teams participated—four in Group A (Classes I & II) and four in Group B (Classes III & IV). Each team put up an engaging performance that reflected weeks of preparation and teamwork. The competition was judged by Mahua Ghosh, Ravina Kumar and Koyesha Mukherjee, who lauded the children for their confidence, coordination and delivery. “The enthusiasm and expression displayed by such young students is truly commendable. Every team was a winner in its own way,” remarked Ghosh.

The event was graced by School Manager Sr. Jyothi, Principal Sr. Sharel and Vice Principal Sr. Amala, who encouraged the participants and applauded the efforts of teachers in nurturing creativity.

In the results, Team Wordsworth (Class II A) topped Group A, followed by Team Shakespeare (Class II B) and Team Tennyson (Class I A). In Group B, Team Blake (Class IV C) secured first place, with Team Byron (Class IV A) second and Team Keats (Class III A) third.
The competition concluded with loud applause, marking yet another successful cultural event at Carmel Junior College.
