Jamshedpur Shops for a Cause at Yi’s Pre-Loved Fundraiser Sale on Marine Drive

Jamshedpur (Mail News Service): Shopping in Jamshedpur is set to take on a meaningful purpose as Young Indians (Yi), in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and partner organisations, will host a one-day pre-loved fundraiser sale promoting sustainability and social responsibility. The event will be held on January 9, from 11 am to 6 pm, at the courtyard of Bindal Mall.

The initiative invites residents to shop from a carefully curated collection of pre-owned clothes, home essentials, and toys, encouraging conscious consumption while supporting a noble social cause. Items on sale include children’s, men’s, and women’s apparel, bedsheets, bags, watches, woollen wear, and other daily-use essentials—offering something valuable for every household.

Affordability and Inclusivity

A key highlight of the fundraiser is its affordability and inclusivity, with prices starting at just ₹10 for adult and children’s wear. Organisers said the idea is to make sustainable shopping accessible to all while promoting responsible reuse and waste reduction by giving products a meaningful second life.

Proceeds from the sale will be utilised to sensitise children on safe and unsafe touch and to spread awareness about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The organisers emphasised that the initiative seeks to address a critical but often under-discussed issue through grassroots-level awareness and education.

Rooting For Environmental Sustainability, Child Safety, Community Welfare

The event is supported by Yi, CII, ONE – Bharat | Spirit, MASOOM, and Yi Climate Change, reflecting a collective commitment to environmental sustainability, child safety, and community welfare. By combining charity with conscious living, the fundraiser demonstrates how everyday shopping choices can lead to long-term social impact.

Citizens have been encouraged to visit the sale, shop for affordable essentials, and be part of an initiative that turns simple purchases into a powerful act of care, awareness, and positive change for society in Jamshedpur.
