Jamshedpur, Nov 17: International yoga guru Anshu Sarkar was awarded the prestigious Maharishi Patanjali Award and the title of “Best Yoga Teacher” at the 29th All India Inter-School and Club Yoga Championship 2025 held at Deshpriya Club, Ranchi. The championship was jointly organized by Yoga Culture and the World Yoga Society (Ranchi).
Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji presented the award to Sarkar in recognition of his 42 years of dedication to yoga and his significant contribution to promoting the discipline nationwide. MP Maji congratulated him and extended her best wishes for his continued success.
The ceremony was attended by yoga participants and dignitaries from across India, including Murarilal Gupta, Dr. S.K. Sen, Vishwajay Choudhary, Dr. Kamal Bose, Pranav Choudhary, Ghanshyam Das, Shefali Chakraborty, Smiki Sarkar, and others. Indrajit Chakraborty, head of Ranchi Yoga Culture, conducted the event. Yoga enthusiasts and public figures from various fields also conveyed their congratulations to Anshu Sarkar.
