XLRI�s national conference on industrial relations starts Jan 11

Jamshedpur, Dec 15: The premier business cradle of the region, XLRI School of Business and Human Resources, will host the 6th national conference on industrial relations.

The two-day convention, beginning January 11, will witness some thought provoking topics and issues related to the changing workforce and transforming industrial relations scenario of today.

Organized by [email protected], the students committee at XLRI which deals with matters related to Industrial Relations, the proposed event shall witness some prominent names from arenas as diverse as industry, academics and advocacy.

K. Ramkumar, Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Bank, Prasenjit Bose, leading columnist and social activist and E. A. Ramaswamy, former professor in the Delhi University and an expert in labour and trade union among others will share a common forum and voice their views and opinions on issues that plague the industrial relations of the country in particular and world at large.

�It is a highly commendable effort by our students to bring together some of the most experienced people in the field of IR together,� said Dr.Pranabesh Ray, Dean, XLRI.

A senior functionary of the host committee said the two days conference aims to shed light on some of the most pertinent aspects of management in an era of globalization and the changing expectations and aspirations of the workforce of today.

�It is indeed heartening to see the youth pick up issues of industrial relations and begin questioning the current thought leaders to spread awareness about the topic of the changing workforce of today,� added Dr Ray.
