Jamshedpur, Dec 15: The city police have arrested a Raipur based person and recovered cash Rs. 91 Lakh and 500 gm gold from him.
Identified as Suresh Soni, the middle aged person, was carrying cash and gold while travelling on an auto-rickshaw when the police during random checking of the vehicles on Friday night got him nabbed in Bistupur.
�First, he was not carrying valid documents about the cash and ornaments and second he gave vague answers when asked from where he is transporting the valuables and where he is supposed to deliver them,� said City SP, Karthik S following hours long interrogation of the arrested man on Saturday.
The police have lodged theft case against the man, said the SP. The income tax department has also been informed about the incident, said the police
