XLRI team emerges as winners at �Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014�

Jamshedpur, March 12, 2014: The 10th edition of the India�s largest and highest rated inter-collegiate business quiz- Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is back and is to travel to 34 cities testing young minds battle it out amongst their peers.

PrithwishDatta and AbhishekPadhye from XLRI emerged as winners in a neck to neck fight at the Jamshedpur regional round of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014. The runners- up position were bagged by Palak Kumar and Akash Kumar from NIT Jamshedpur.

Chief Guest for the event, Sandeep Dhir, Chief, Capability Development, Tata Steel presented a cash prize of Rs. 100,000/-* to the winning team and Rs. 50,000/-* to the runners-up team. The Tata group, which has always believed in giving back to society, is endeavoring to inculcate the culture of philanthropy amongst participants of the Tata Crucible this year. The increase of Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000 from the Regional Winners and Runners up prize respectively will be contributed directly to a the city regional rounds will be followed by Zonal finals which will be organized in Mumbai (West zone), New Delhi (North zone), Kolkata (East zone) and Bengaluru (South zone).

The top two teams from each zone would battle it out for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014 title at the National Finals to be held in Mumbai in April, 2014. This will be followed by the International Finals where the winners and runners-up from the Indian edition of the quiz will compete with the winners and runner ups of the Singapore and UK editions, held earlier this financial year, to win the International Championship title.
