Jamshedpur: XLRI Jamshedpur is set to host the 2nd Edition of XL Runathon on Sunday, 23 February, starting at 5 AM at the XLRI Football Ground. Following the success of its inaugural edition, XL Runathon continues to promote health, community spirit, and social responsibility with the tagline “Run for the Greater Good.” The event features three categories – 2K Walk, 5K Run, and 10K Run – catering to participants of all fitness levels.
Bib Distribution will take place on Saturday, 22nd February 2025, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the XLRI Football Ground. Participants will receive a T-shirt, Medal, E-Certificate, Carry Bag, Cap, Coupon, and Refreshments. More than just a marathon, XL Runathon 2025 aims to make a social impact by directing its proceeds towards the education of underprivileged students. The event is open to all citizens, with registrations available at xlrunathon.xlri.ac.in.
After Jamshedpur, the event will expand to Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, taking the movement nationwide. The organizing team includes Dr. (Fr.) Sebastian George, S.J. (Director, XLRI), Dr. (Fr.) Donald D’Silva, S.J. (Dean, Administration & Finance), Ranaveer Sinha (Global President, ALCOM), Ronnie D’Costa (President, ALCOM Jamshedpur Chapter), James Tirkey (Administrative Head), Bhaskar Balmuchu (Alumni & Corporate Relations), and Ashish Singh (Event Manager).
Launched as part of XLRI’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, XL Runathon is rapidly becoming one of India’s prestigious running events.
