Jamshedpur, Nov. 3 : B-school XLRI is organising the 1st ever national HR-IR conference the December 3 and 4.
The conference will be jointly conducted by the Students Association for Promotion of Personnel Management, Human Resources and Industrial Relations (SAPPHIRE) and the Forum for Industrial Relations at XLRI (FIRE@X).
The idea is to provide a platform for the bigwigs from various industries, academicians and legal practitioners to discuss and debate on the various challenges in India’s HR-IR landscape, on the lines of this year’s theme: Dynamics of HR-IR: Realigning skills, systems and practices in the face of globalization.
“We are currently in an era where everyone has access to information: from open sources in the public domain to paid data from research firms. Analytics is also being pursued with much fanfare in the people domain with HR analytics becoming a trend with the employers.
There is a continuous evolution of the HR-IR industry in this day and age due to these disruptions as a part of which, the professionals are adopting innovative practices to ride through the wave of change.
On the lines of the theme, there will be discussions and talks from various dignitaries as well as paper presentations from academicians,” noted an official of XLRI.
Previously, XLRI hosted the 7th National IR conference in January 2016 and the 7th National HR conference in January 2015.
This year XLRI is bringing together students from over 35 B-schools of the country, research scholars, trade union leaders and HR honchos on the same platform for the first time ever.
The event will also witness the grand finale of the mega quizzing leagues- Trial By Fire Season 3 and Battle HR Royale.
