Xavier School: Vikas Kumar Singh inducted Second Officer in NCC

Gamharia, May 6: Vikas Kumar Singh, sports coach and NCC in-charge at Xavier School in Gamharia, was inducted NCC Second Officer at a Piping Ceremony organized at the unit’s Sonari office. Another star was added on to his shoulder strap signifying NCC Second Officer’s rank.

Vikas Kumar Singh who had undergone higher training at Nagpur in 2022 gave credit for this success to Lieutenant Colonel Gaurav Kumar Mishra of 37 Jharkhand Battalion. He said, “NCC inculcates in cadets discipline, dutifulness and punctuality. NCC prepares the foundation for cadets to serve the nation in a manner that would add a feeling of pride and honour to their educational institutions and to their families.” Xavier School Gamharia Vice Principal, Fr Dayanidhi Bisoi expressed his happiness over Vikas Kumar Singh’s achievement and observed that this would further inspire the students to serve the country with distinction. School Coordinator Sister Archana, was present on the occasion and wished Vikas a bright future.
