Jamshedpur, Mar 22: On the occasion of World Water Day, the NSS unit and Geography Department of Jamshedpur Workers’ College organized a special program to spread awareness about water conservation.
College Principal Dr. S.P. Mahalik highlighted the critical need for water conservation. “Understanding the importance of water and using it wisely is our responsibility,” he stated, urging students to take the lead in promoting awareness.
A key moment of the event was an inspirational poem on water conservation, recited by M.A. Semester-3 student Neha Kumari. “Her words touched everyone’s hearts,” an attendee remarked. Additionally, students from the Geography Department delivered messages on water preservation through creative poster presentations.
The event was hosted by M.A. Semester-3 student Sagar Kumar, while Kunal Mahato delivered the vote of thanks. Faculty members commended the initiative, stressing the importance of educating students about environmental responsibility.
“The enthusiasm among students was inspiring. Everyone pledged to make conscious efforts to conserve water in their communities,” a faculty member shared. The program successfully instilled a sense of duty towards water conservation among students.
