Jamshedpur: Women’s Day cum Pre-Baisakhi exhibition inaugurated at Sakchi Bengal Club

Jamshedpur, Mar 22: The Women’s Day cum Pre-Baisakhi Exhibition, organized by the Kolkata-based women-led group “Enigma,” was inaugurated on Friday at Sakchi Bengal Club. The event, running from March 21-23, aims to empower women entrepreneurs by providing them a platform to showcase their products.

Social worker Purabi Ghosh, along with Bengal Club General Secretary Soumya Sen, inaugurated the exhibition. “This initiative not only promotes financial independence for women but also highlights their creativity and entrepreneurial skills,” Ghosh remarked.

According to Elitra Sinha Mukherjee, head of Enigma, this is the 13th edition of the exhibition in Jamshedpur. “We are delighted to support women artisans and entrepreneurs from Kolkata and Jamshedpur,” she said.

The exhibition features a diverse collection, including exclusive sarees, kurtis, jewelry, men’s wear, handcrafted goods and household essentials. More than 30 women from Kolkata and Jamshedpur have set up stalls, offering unique and high-quality products.

Visitors praised the initiative for providing a vibrant marketplace for local women entrepreneurs. “This exhibition brings together creativity, culture and commerce, making it a must-visit event,” said a shopper at the venue.
